burnout

therapy

There are times when we give our all and forget to listen to our own voice, to recognize warning signals, to question our actions, at work, in love, in the family ...

Fear of change, lack of self-confidence, status thinking, the
desire to be accepted/loved, too high expectations of ourselves ... these ways of thinking can lead to burnout.

But how exactly does burnout manifest itself?

In terms of symptoms, burnout can look very different.
It usually creeps up on you and manifests itself through

  • the loss of well-being

  • difficulties concentrating

  • emotional lows

  • psychosomatic symptoms

  • social conflicts (work and private life)

  • an increasingly negative attitude towards all people

  • withdrawal and giving up hobbies

Often the following symptoms also appear:

  • lack of energy

  • frequent infections

  • high blood pressure

  • stomach/intestinal complaints

  • sexual dysfunction/ decrease in libido

  • feeling of inner emptiness

  • reduced self-care

  • change of personality

  • substance abuse

At some point body and mind simply don't want to function anymore. The expected performance
fails to materialize, self-esteem drops. In the worst case scenario, a state of no longer wanting to exist leads to suicide.
